Why the name Red Buffalo?
Believe it or not, there are no buffalo in North America. There are only bison on this continent. Buffalo mainly exist in Africa and Asia, with the red buffalo being one of the unique, rare varieties.
If you’re wondering where the name came from, there’s a story. Not too long ago, my family and I were skiing in Beaver Creek, Colorado. My wife started skiing on a slope, and it became our favorite slope on that trip. We kept returning to it. Eventually, we were taking a break to catch our breath and finally noticed the name of the slope: Red Buffalo.
My wife and I recently celebrated our 25th anniversary. We went to one of our favorite restaurants in Louisville, and as we sat down at our table we noticed the restaurant was decorated with – I kid you not – red buffalo. Sign? No sign? I’ll let you decide.
At Red Buffalo, we want to find the red buffalos of the world: those rare and unique organizations that are gospel-centered with high capacity leaders that want to make a difference.
Our goal is to work with leaders who want to be disrupters and who want to change the world by advancing the kingdom through multiplication and effectiveness. We’ll do this by serving as an elite coaching and consulting team for the organizations that really get it and that want to increase their influence.
Red Buffalo is up for the challenge.
